Nishio Tadahide is an exceptionally experienced instructor who has been training IT professionals for over two decades. Specialising in Check Point, Cisco, and Juniper, Nishio has garnered extensive expertise in these areas. He has travelled extensively for work throughout his career, but he is currently based in Yokohama, near Tokyo, Japan.
Interestingly, Nishio initially had different plans and aspired to work as a sound engineer, focusing on studying Acoustics at university. However, his growing passion for IT, coupled with his increasing involvement with computers, gradually steered his career in a new direction. As his knowledge expanded, Nishio found that he enjoyed sharing his expertise and was eventually approached to train his colleagues.
Recognizing the value of having a second job, Nishio took a friend’s advice to heart and invested more energy into his training endeavors. As time passed, he discovered that he derived greater satisfaction from teaching than from being an engineer, ultimately leading him to become a full-time instructor in 2000.
When asked about advice for individuals starting out in the industry, Nishio emphasizes the importance of carving out personal time and not giving all of one’s time to the job. Being aware of the demanding nature of the engineering field in Japan, he believes that there is more to life than just work.
Nishio’s dedication to his family serves as a powerful motivator for his success. He strives to ensure that his sons have every opportunity to excel in life, which drives him to achieve his professional goals.
During his leisure time, Nishio indulges in his passion for cooking, delighting his family with Japanese and Italian food and finding inspiration in creating dishes using the ingredients available at home. Additionally, he enjoys reading books, listening to music, and staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends, with a keen interest in infrastructure automation, such as Kubernetes and cloud automation.
