Anderson Moura

Senior Trainer/ Consultant
Brief info

Anderson Moura is a member of our growing instructor team in the Americas and is a highly experienced trainer and Forgerock specialist. His background covers a broad range of technologies and he is based in Curitiba, Brazil, where he has lived since his college days. Anderson currently divides his time between training, consulting and working as a college professor. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, drawing and travel.

Anderson says he prefers living in a smaller city and close to the countryside as compared with some of Brazil’s larger centres such as São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Curitiba is known for its parks and gardens and is close to some spectacular nearby waterfalls. After high school in Rio de Janeiro, Anderson looked around for somewhere to study in Brazil’s south. He visited Curitiba, fell in love with the city, and made it his home.

Extensive IT experience

Anderson has extensive and varied experience in the IT world. While studying for an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, he secured an internship as a Web Developer and then started his own business with three college friends. The main challenge he faced at this time was to learn the broader business administration skills that he needed to add to his technical knowledge for the business to succeed.

Moving into IT training

Anderson then moved through a variety of IT roles, working with and consulting to companies such as HSBC, IBM and Microsoft. Around this time, Anderson started his training career when required to help clients learn to use new technology. Through IBM, Anderson was first exposed to Forgerock, after which he worked his way through numerous Forgerock training courses to reach his current instructor level.

When he started training, Anderson says he had little experience of public speaking, but soon built his skills to match his technical experience. He now enjoys the opportunities that training gives him to meet new people and explore new areas and new aspects of the technologies he works with.

Teaching and mentoring

Anderson has also studied an MBA and then a Master’s degree in Health Technology. He has a passion for health tech because of the difference that this can make to peoples’ lives. After studying, Anderson was invited to work as a professor in a college, where he stayed for fifteen years. During this time, Anderson also became involved in mentoring, including a project to develop an automated wheelchair. He currently divides his time between training, consulting and working as a college professor.
