Applications Now Open: Red Education Women in Cybersecurity Training Scholarships 2025

share:

Following the success of last year’s inaugural scholarships, Red Education is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Women in Cybersecurity Training Scholarships. These scholarships are part of our ongoing commitment to close the gender gap in the cybersecurity industry and to empower more women to thrive in this critical and fast-growing field.

Strong foundations set in 2024

In 2024, we launched the Women in Cybersecurity Training Scholarships to address the significant underrepresentation of women in cybersecurity. The response was overwhelming. We received a high volume of impressive applications from women all over the world, and four outstanding recipients: Keza Mbabazi – Rwanda, Sheida Sabeti – Australia, Catherine Kim – Canada and Divya Vissapragada – United States —were awarded full training scholarships and certification vouchers.

These remarkable women have already begun their journeys, building technical expertise and embarking on new career pathways. Their success proves what’s possible when we invest in women and provide meaningful opportunities in cybersecurity.

More Scholarships, More Opportunities in 2025

For 2025, we’re doubling our support. This year, eight scholarships will be awarded (up from four in 2024), including:

  • 4 x Full Training Scholarships for Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) training
  • 4 x Full Training Scholarships for Palo Alto Networks EDU-210: Firewall Essentials – Configuration and Management

Recipients of the Check Point scholarships will have the opportunity to complete the CCSA certification upon successful completion of the training.

The scholarships are designed for entry-level candidates seeking to launch their careers in cybersecurity. They are open to female final-year undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and early-career professionals in the information technology field. Whether you’re new to the IT industry, transitioning into cybersecurity, or looking to specialise and gain certifications in this high-demand area, we encourage you to apply.

Closing the Cybersecurity Gender Gap

Cybersecurity is one of the most critical and fast-evolving sectors in the tech industry. Yet, women still make up only around 25% of the global cybersecurity workforce. This gender imbalance is a missed opportunity—not just for the women who are excluded from this career path, but for the industry as a whole, which urgently needs more qualified candidates and a more diverse talent pool to meet rising security challenges.

At Red Education, we believe diversity strengthens cybersecurity. Our training programs are designed to equip women with practical, real-world skills that translate into immediate career opportunities.
