Rodolfo’s professional career has its foundations in routing, switching and network security design, implementation and troubleshooting, working with vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Enterasys, Palo Alto Networks, F5 Networks.
Network communication and security
Rodolfo’s experience includes twenty-five years as a technology specialist designing, deploying, auditing, troubleshooting and teaching network communication and security technologies.
Training and consulting
Since 2015, Rodolfo’s focus has been on training and technical consulting with Application-Centric Networking technologies such as ADC (application delivery controllers), WAF (web application firewalls), data center firewalls, SSL visibility, DDoS protection, DNS, PAM, and IAM, especially those provided by F5 Networks.
He chose to specialise in training as it combined his extensive technical knowledge while at the same time giving him an outlet for his expressive nature and talent for explaining complex concepts in a simple way. He also enjoys being able to get to know new people and traveling, rather than being in an office-bound role.
Rodolfo has lived in São Paulo for most of his life and now shares his home with his wife, and a cat who he describes as ‘owning the house’. Having spent much of his life designing redundant systems in the corporate world, Rodolfo has applied the same mindset at home, installing a power generator to ensure that he can work online uninterrupted, even during Brazil’s windy season. He has also been experimenting with multiple webcams and using tools such as flip charts and whiteboards to make the online training experience more dynamic and interactive.
Technology and nature
Rodolfo says his two great passions in life are technology and nature and he enjoys the balance that the two bring to his life. He loves sailing and has participated in a number of regattas. He describes his ultimate lifestyle as being somewhere close to the beach and with the peace of mind that comes with being in a safe place to live.
