Dan Storey is the founder, owner and Chairman of the Board at Sydney-based Red Education.
This is the story of how Dan founded Red Education over fifteen years ago, and how he took it to become to be the leading global IT training provider it is today, as well as his advice for those starting out in the industry.

With over 30 years of leadership experience under his belt, Mike Baird, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Red Education, sees his skillset as being like a jigsaw puzzle. He started out with a box of 500 pieces to use to solve a problem. Today, decades later, he feels as though he has 20,000 pieces that he has gathered throughout his career.

As Operations Director at Red Education, Stuart Frampton describes his role as being responsible for ‘pretty much everything that is student related’. Stuart is highly focused on two key values – accountability and attention to detail – saying, “Everything we do is customer-facing, so it all adds up to the customer experience”.

Born in Ghana, Akwasi Adjei became passionate about the opportunities that computers and the internet could bring to Ghanaian young people will still at university. His thesis, “Building Information Technology in Second Cycle Institutions in Ghana”, was the subject of a documentary on the PBS broadcasting service in the USA. To this day, Akwasi is still passionate about is how education can transform lives.

Aloke Bikkina had been Professional Services Manager at Red Education for a few months when his background in launching start-ups started to get him noticed. Now, after just three years in the business, Aloke is the Marketing Director at Red Education, heading up a dedicated team of website, copywriting, design and social media specialists.

When Alex Hu was exploring different industries, and accepted a short-term contract to implement a system migration for an IT training company called Red Education, little did he know that two years later he would be still there. Not only is Alex still around, he has become our Finance Director of a rapidly expanding global ATP…

Raj Kumar, Executive Sales Director at Red Education, has a simple but powerful mantra that he lives his life by: have courage and be kind. He repeats this same phrase to his children every night before they go to bed, believing it to be important to be strong, but even more important to take care of the people around you.

Abdel Sadki is a Senior Instructor and a member of the Red Education European IT training team based in Paris, France. Abdel has joined Red Education with an extensive IT background, with more than 15 years of international experience in Networking. He started training Cisco courses while working in Saudi Arabia, before diversifying into Juniper, Palo Alto, and Extreme networks. He has been awarded the Cisco Distinguished Instructor award in consecutive years.

Amit Singh is a highly experienced member of our Instructor team based in Bangalore, India. His area of expertise is Storage/SAN Training and Implementation, having worked for over eleven years in the storage industry. He has been delivering training in the field for more than five years, including the last two with Red Education in India.
