Online and offline training expert
Alan is well used to traveling throughout the region to deliver training, in Singapore, Manilla, Hong Kong and China, as well as Malaysia. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, however, he says he has enjoyed online training as much as the classroom environment, appreciating the convenience of working remotely. In common with all our instructors, he has become skilled at incorporating tools such as Q&As to check students’ understanding of content and virtual whiteboards to make the online learning environment more engaging and effective. He describes one of his greatest professional achievements as recently becoming qualified to train other trainers with Palo Alto Networks.
From travel to art collecting
Alan is a great fan of broadening his horizons and enjoys getting to know different places and cultures through travel. More recently he has discovered a new interest in art collecting, especially oil paintings. He estimates that he has close to 100 paintings on the walls of his home, with more still to come. In addition, he enjoys gardening on the balcony of his apartment. However, he is looking forward to doing more travelling again in his future with Red Education and considers filling every page in his passport one of his great personal achievements.
