Red Education announces expansion into the United Arab Emirates

Red Education is pleased to announce this week that it is expanding into the United Arab Emirates.

The move follows hot on the heels of the IT training provider’s growth into North and South America, Canada and Europe, in addition to their existing strongholds in ASEAN, SAARC and Australasia.

“I have always been interested in the opportunities to deliver IT technical training in the United Arab Emirates market. We have recently been invited into the region by some of our key vendors and I’m convinced that now is the right time,” said Mike Baird, Managing Director at Red Education.

“According to Reuters Foreign Direct Investment into the UAE rose to $19.88 billion in 2020. This represents an increase of 44% in the previous year. This level of rapid business growth means that companies here are dealing with an even greater IT skills shortage than many of the other regions we are working in.”

“There are two ways to deal with that. The first is to poach talent from overseas, which is challenging at the best of times, let alone during a pandemic. The second and only real alternative is to train and upskill your existing support teams.”

“As international businesses move into the region, they are investing in enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and it’s important to match that investment with training for their network engineers. It is critical for these organisations that they have the skills to prevent the devastating cybersecurity breaches that unfortunately we have seen elsewhere.”

“For global organisations, it helps to be able to work with the same provider across every country where they have a presence. It means a consistent back-end process to support high-quality training outcomes. Our expansion into the UAE further helps Red Education supports these international organisations further with a deeper understanding of their unique business needs in training.”

“The cost of living in the United Arab Emirates is high and, on average, not far behind western economies, at only 15.35% lower than the United States. In other words, the numbers stack up to indicate that this is an excellent opportunity for us and an exciting step on our journey to becoming the world’s number one IT training provider,” said Baird.
