Challenges

The company has been in the pharmacy industry for fifty years. What could go wrong? Following a series of major data breaches in Australia, the company became aware that it may not have enough people with the right skills to manage a cybersecurity emergency. There was a key person risk and no redundancy plan, with only one or two people having the knowledge to deal with any problems or emergency situations that might arise. They decided it was time to take action.

solutions

Red Education delivered three Palo Alto Networks certification training programs to upskill the team: EDU210 – Firewall Essentials: Configuration and Management, EDU-220 – Panorama: Managing Firewalls at Scale, and EDU-330 – Firewall: Troubleshooting. The students enjoyed the clear and approachable communication style of Palo Alto Networks expert trainer, Jerry Solomon.

Outcomes

After training, students had a clear understanding how to configure, monitor and manage security policies and control access to network resources, benefiting from the additional information and experience the instructor could provide. As a result, the organisation had enough skilled team members to be able to deal with incidents and a redundancy plan to ensure the security of the company into the future.
