COS/XOS Specialist Certification
Crossbeam Systems Specialist certification indicates specialist level knowledge of Crossbeam Systems
Security Switches across XOS, COS and Independent Software Vendors software solutions.
The Specialist exam is taken at the conclusion of the XOS Specialist course, and successful candidates will have demonstrated a very strong level of capability to design, implement and manage Crossbeam platforms and solutions.
Course Duration: 1 day
The Crossbeam Systems Certified Expert (CSCE) is a high level certification and a requirement
for all Crossbeam Systems Partners Engineers. Candidates who achieve this certification have
mastered complex configuration, troubleshooting, and operation of XOS and COS platforms.
Prerequisites for obtaining the CSCE are as follows:
1. At least 3 years professional experience in security and networking technologies
2. At least 6 months field experience with X-Series platforms
3. Crossbeam Systems XOS Specialist Certification (CSCS)
The Crossbeam Expert course is designed to prepare qualified candidates for the CSCE. The
CSCE exam is administered as a 3-hour multiple choice test, and a 3-hour lab practical.
For the lab practical, candidates will be presented with documented, complex configuration
scenarios. The candidate must successfully demonstrate configuration, diagnose and remedy in
the time allotted.
The multiple choice test includes questions on COS/XOS/NMS configuration, troubleshooting,
and operation as well as more general questions intended to validate the candidates overall
knowledge of Linux system administration, Networking, and Information Security. The complex
lab scenarios necessarily include the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of
applications, in particular Check Point VPN-1.
